We are excited to announce the second annual Agnes Scott Alumnae show at YayStudio! This year, our focus is on self portraits. We encourage artists to approach the concept of a self portrait both creatively and broadly.

Requirements
Artist must be an alumna of Agnes Scott College, subject matter must be self-portraiture.

Media: works on paper.

Size: works may be no larger than 16x20 inches.

Number of pieces: Artist may submit up to 3 works of art. Please send .jpg submissions (up to two images of each piece submitted) to gallery@yaystudio.com. Please also include an artist’s statement.

Dates
Submissions due by 5 pm (eastern time), March 23rd, 2012.

Artists will be notified of their acceptance status by 5 pm (eastern time), March 30th, 2012. Accepted works are are must be ready to hang in a thin black frame with white mat. Framed size may be no larger than 20x24 inches.

All accepted artwork must be delivered to YayStudio no later than 5 pm, April 6th, 2012.

Shipping/transportation is the responsibility of the artist.

YayStudio is in Avondale Estates at the already excellent Little Tree Studios. YayStudio will be offering a variety of art classes and workshops, ranging from drawing and photography courses for kids, to bi-monthly figure drawing classes for adults, to crafts/up-cycling workshops for all ages, in which we plan to explore the many exciting ways to bring new life to old junk.

Yay Studio is home to Eyeon Media, LLC featuring photographer and web guru, Robert Hill; graphic designer and craft goddess, Julia Lutgendorf; and illustrator/artist and chronic caffeine addict, Nic Morgan.
